Other Info
| Cranes have been considered auspicious birds since ancient times, and along with pine trees and turtles, they have been depicted as symbols of longevity and celebration. This fuchi-kashira depicts a crane (fuchi) flying among the reeds and a crane (kashira) pecking at food with its long neck lowered. The name "Naotoshi [直利]" only two-character inscription, and although the details have not been confirmed, it is probably to be Naori from Mito who used the go name Ichiryuken [一柳軒] based on the workmanship. It has passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu shinsa in 2024. |
