The theme of this Kogai is Slug. Slugs are land dwelling snails with degenerated shells. The length of the body are about 6cm long with antennae on its head and its body covered in mucus. They were used as lessons. Snake, frog and slug. Snakes eat frogs and frogs eat slugs. But if snakes eat slug, they will become ill. This demonstrate the balance of nature; "Sansukumi." This Kogai only depicts slug, but most likely the other parts of the Koshirae once depicted the others. Sansukumi is a lesson for avoiding conflicts and wars.
