Other Info
| The theme of this Tsuba is Hotei, one of the Seven deities of Good Luck who has a potbelly. Hotei is a symbol of peace and prosperity. This design shows a bag and a scroll symbolizing Hotei since Hotei is always seen with these as a monk. This symbolism is called Rusumoyo. This craftsman, Masatsuna, belonged to the Bushu-Ito Tradition and was active during the Late Edo Period. A cleverly designed Tsuba. It has passed the Hozon Tosogu in 2023. |
