| The theme of this Tsuba is Water Flow and Sukashi, Parallelograms, and Small Rounds. The craftsman, Ietsugu, belonged to the Iyo-Shoami Tradition and was active during the Mid Edo Period in Iyo, Matsuyama Province. He signed his work using Tenka Chuko Kaizan; this term means "restoration of the tradition." He had much confidence to sign as the restorer of the Tradition. The design is unique with the Parallelograms and small Rounds. It has passed the Hozon Shinsa in 2024. |
