Other Info
The tsuba of the Edo period, where it is difficult to identify the country or school such as Owari[尾張] and Kyo[京], is called Shoami[正阿弥]. This tsuba is mumei, but has been attributed to the Shoami made during the early Edo period, although it does not date back to Momoyama. A somewhat sophisticated design that depicts bridge of Koto Instrument, ivy and wild goose with symmetry openwork. It has passed the Hozon shinsa in 2003.
