Other Info
The first Norimitsu [則光] was said to be a desciple of Nagamitsu [長光] school, and several generations continued after that. Based on the year 1467, the 2nd year of Bunsho and excellent workmanship, this wakizashi was probably made by the most famous and praised of the Norimitsu, so called "Kansho Norimitsu [寛正則光]" who left behind swords from the Eikyou to Bunmei era (1429-1477). The kochoji-midare hamon of nioi-deki and the clear midare-utsuri that appear on the koitame-hada are particularly noteworthy.Registered by Kanagawa Prefecture in March 1951(昭和26年), with sayagaki by Kanzan sensei in 1972, and comes with a Wakizashi syle koshirae with a black lacquer ishimeji-nuri saya . It has passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Token shinsa in 2024.
